Day - 22

Well wanted to slee well today and get good rest... did sleep alright, but wokeup with a serious headache which continued to haunt me for the rest of the day like my shadow... Caught cold as well by the afternoon.... Anyway The day didnt exatcly go well, with yesterday's success i was in a celebratory mood and got a little carried away post lunch...

Breakfast  --  1 pommegrenite
Lunch       --  My usual 5 flat bread, Lentil soup, Okra and a small portion of sweet dish called Gulab
                      Jamoon

Post Lunch   -- Here is where i went crazy, ate some fried shit, then 2 Samosa's which are again deep
                        fried snacks... had a large coffee in the evening to help with my headache, doesnt
                        seem to help much though... no dinner


Will sleep now Must go for a jog tomorrow, will try to run 5kms in one stretch tomorrow... wish me luck...GN

Day - 21

YES .. YES.... YES.... I might strt sounding like wrestler Daniel Brian... but i did it .... YES... YES... YES.... wokeup at 5.45am, though i slept very late around 1.45am. I had a lot of questions if i could walk more than 11kms or not... but who knew... i finished the entire distance... its actually nearly 12kms... and it took me almost 2hrs and 30mins... started at 6.40am and i was there by 9.05am... i ran only for 1km, wasnt sure if i could sustain long enough if i ran, so didnt run after the first km... Felt amazing to reach the target... so if i ran here and there i guess i could finish 10kms in about 1hr 30mins... we will come to know on 6th... i wont do another 10km strech till 6th, i think it would become too much for my body... will continue jogging, will try to run more and walk less... i feel pretty fine thought i would be totally exahusted with severe leg pains... neither haappened ... i guess walking was okay with my body... but i dont know how i will feel in the morning thats when the battered and bruised body starts its complaints ... the next morning is when the body exerts its revenge on u... so will know tomorrow morning how it is... Drank plenty of water... about 1.5ltrs from the morning, so we are good there i guess....

11am       ....samolina flower boiled with salt about 100gms of it (its called UPMA here... a very 
                     regular breakfast dish) and a Tea.

Lunch      ... 2.30pm apple, pommegrenite and an orange

After the walk, went for my class, and had lunch... i feel fine, no pains of anykind...

So one goal reached... will update again in the night.... I'm on cloud 9 now :) :) :)... will sleep now for a while a well deserved afternoon nap....

Couldnt sleep in the afternoon, so got to sleep early now to get up early again tomorrow...

Dinner an orange, 3 eggs soft boiled, 6 papads (just dried dough of whole wheat flour or chic pea flower burned (or grilled) on fire)...

Time for bed, good night/Day...

Day - 20

Wanted to sleep well this morning... so didnt wake up till 10am, no breakfast... Lunch 3 pommegrenites... one coffee in the evening. I have  a class every sunday morning 11kms away from where i live... so planning to walk and jog all the way to the class.... this is my practise run :) :) for next sunday... So had a stomach full of rice, lentil soup and scrambled eggs... tomorrow is the first test... my only ambition for tomorrow is to walk and run as far as i can... lets see if i can get till the finish line.... got a lot of homework to do... but will sleep now... GN...

Day - 19

Well i couldnt do as planned last night, slept only after 1.30am... and when i woke up this morning i was aching at every single place.... couldnt wakeup despite of my sincere efforts till 6.15am... my body was refusing to even move an inch... this time it was my mind that was strong... it managed to remind me of my promise and i went for the walk albeit a little late... couldnt run... legs are hurting too much... so walked 4kms ... its was very hard to work in office, was feeling sleepy all day...

breakfast -- 100ml milk and an orange
11.30   -- egg sandwich (this means 2 bread slices, seperated by a layer of a single sliced hard boiled
                egg.
15:00  --  egg and corn sandwich... 3 slices of bread, filled with egg and corn in between each bread slice.  no cheese or butter in any sandqiches

had a delicious rich dessert called Halwa... had quite a bit of it

Was invited for a dinner at a close friends place. And in these kind of dinners the level of hospitality is measured by the amount of over eating that you make your guest indulge in, and i'm known to indulge in this kind of thing, and they dont know about my experiment, so all these things resulted in eating 3 times i'm eating now... so ii'm full to the point of spilling out... all in all a bad day... its alredy late and i just got home... i'm going to take rest tomorrow.... planning to do a 10k practice run on Sunday.... will depend on my condition tomorrow... so gn for now... will try to come back strong tomorrow...

Day - 18

Yippppeeeeee..... Woke up at 5.45am.... slept late actually but woke up on time :) .... Went for the walk... walked 5kms, 2 kms jogged !!!!! Running for the first time in 18months.... wasn't sure if i could run (this word only means a slow jog... don't mistake it for a sprint... my body cant do that.... YET!!!! ) my usual mark is 2kms which i used to easily do 18months back when i used to jog on a daily basis.... I candidly said to my self today at the starting point that i could do it... my mind was sure i CANT do it. But surprisingly i could do it!!! felt really nice to finish the 2km mark... Often comparing between the Body and Mind, the Mind is said to be the strong one... but the Body despite of all the abuse we put it through is much more capable than what we imagine it to be.... Today my mind was feeble but my body pulled it through !!! I tell my self at the start of the jog everyday that I'm the descendant of a persistent hunter... my ancestors even before inventing hunting tools hunted animals that were much more faster and agile than them just by running after them long enough to exhaust them...... I inherit the same body... i know i haven't used it to its fullest capabilities in a long long time.... but the machine is very much capable i just have to trust it and tell my feeble mind to follow along.... with all its doubts, complaints, hesitations and laziness if my mind can just follow along, focusing just on LimpBizkit screaming in my ears and leave my body alone then .... I'm sure i can finish the 10k run, even if i have to walk most of it.... This is  a very nice start to the day.... hope to repeat it more often in the next 82 days... Will update this post at the end of the day with other updates... Have a good Day/Night you all...

at 11.30am               -- 2 hard boiled eggs
Lunch                       -- 5 Flat Breads with Okra, Beans, probably 25gms of chicken
Evening                   --  Got a little excited and ate some deep fried snack :( :( :(
Dinner                     -- An orange may be a pommergrenite will hit the bed by 9...   -- Didnt do both, slep at around 1.30am. Didnt eat dinner, wasnt hungry.

Finally got around to that measurement thing. Here is me...

Height   - 169 cms
Weight  - 100kg (220.5 pounds) just checked few mins back
BMI      -  35 (which puts me on the far edge of Obese Class I - Moderately obese)

I don't worry too much about BMI, i don't think its that accurate. but i would like to track my body shape as well, my waist is big, thanks to the tummy...so will try to get those measurements soon. So as you can see, I'm not a small guy... evidently. Lets see how this changes at the end of 100 days. Hopefully i can follow through till the 100th day... Legs are paining now... hopefully good night sleep will get them back on track...

Boy spell check shows so many mistakes.... all corrected now... My English teacher of yesteryears would have been furious !!!! ;) ;)

Day - 17

Yeaaaahhhhh woke up at 6am... went for that walk... 45 mins... 4.5kms... just walking, but will start slow jog tomorrow... breakfast and apple and a pear at 9am. 11.30 one egg sandwich, had a little bit of rice in lunch with 3 flat bread with Spinach sauce curry. No evening snacks and 2 teas. Dinner an apple, orange and guava. Was a good day, hope to carry this momentum tomorrow... had to work an hour extra so running late in my schedule... GN

Day - 16

Its proving very difficult to change my sleeping schedule... could manage get up only after 8am... not enough to go for a long walk... will try again tomorrow... day wasnt that great, there was an office lunch and i had to attend it, so had some stuff that i regret having :(.... anyway dinner was only an apple and an orange... stomach upset continued again in the afternoon... got to get my shit together... will try to get things right tomorrow... for now hitting the bed... hopefully this power outage will stop and i get the power back... that will really help me sleep....
